Well the results for the 50k competitors have finally been published. With a time of 2 hours 48 mins I came 48th out of a field of five or six hundred. Not bad for an old crock - if I do say so myself.
However I am realistic. I know the good riders are more likely to tackle the 100k event rather than the 50k.
